Andrew Gale Xmas trees can play Simon, I made a gamepad for it before CamJam Raspberry Jam but I did not have time to program it. During #CamJam Rob Bricheno aka Rob, did and made a cracking version for it.

Andrew Gale Brian Corteil 🤖 CamJam Raspberry Jam Thank you for making this, I enjoyed using it. I liked that I can just set a pin for each LED instead of something complicated. The game is here if you want to play gist.github.com/rbricheno/5d52… We had fun changing the speed to make a super fast or slow game, or random speed! 🤪

This evening I have been soldering and programming Python on my new board from Andrew Gale, the "Trio of Trees". A nice simple board with 15 bright LEDs (red, yellow and green) in the shape of three trees.

The Brian² custom PCB I designed for our #PiWars robot. 2 errors, luckily both have workarounds. 1 was a missed footprint for a resistor, l was able to solder it across the two pads it was meant to bridge, the I2C socket footprint needs custom lead, pins labelled incorrectly

Feeling nostalgic for 'old school' hobby electronics... maybe I should knock something up on veroboard or maybe even etch a PCB that I've drawn myself using nail varnish...

Where is the new non-Twitter place to discuss Raspberry Pi and electronics stuff?! I've never ventured into Mastodon but is that an acceptable alternative to the old Twitter?

Finally got round to making a start on my #RC2014 ... I'm making some modules on veroboard and I have to say that I'm very much enjoying it. Quite nostalgic and more fun than drawing PCB traces on a computer screen. Also watching old Columbos whilst I do it!
