Felling old and deteriorating trees should be the last resort, when all other management options have been exhausted. That wise management principle is admirably demonstrated in practice by the National Trust's efforts to retain a very old sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus) at Knole

Last week we put 24 trees bags on some of our new trees in Plymouth. If you see one, please top it up! A 10 lite watering can only costs 2p to fill up from the tap but you can also use bathwater!

If you see our tree bags on Beacon Park Road, Segrave Road or Wilton Street, please pop some water in them! A 10 litre watering can costs just 2p to fill up. But, it doesn't need to be from the tap, why not use your bath water?

Hey it's #WateringWednesday again - time to pop out and give your nearest NEW street tree a good watering 🌳💧💚 We can all play a part in giving newly planted trees the best start in life. Look after them now and they'll look after you for decades to come. PLEASE SHARE

Sadly the stunning Lucombe Oak at Widey Woods has come down in a storm. This beautiful tree was immortalised more than once by local artist Kevin Tole.

This junction has been transformed 🪄by widening the pavement and planting a tree🌳 It never needed to be so wide📏 but now offers a safer place to cross and a shady-haven just outside a local school🧑‍🎓 #Streettrees🌳are an integral element in healthier more human focused streets

A tree-mendous effort by the volunteer Tree Warden mobile group on Friday who mulched, sorted out tree ties and stakes on the young trees, pruned and even planted a new oak tree in Tothill Park. Big thank you to them! 👏

Warwick District Council's study found that tree cover has a positive effect on property saleability. Properties on tree-lined streets are said to be in higher demand and sell faster than properties on other streets. If you're looking to sell in the future, a street tree outside
