Key Pacific trade officials are in Fiji this week developing the Regional Quality Policy on standards, testing & trade barriers. Supported by PACER Plus DEC Work Programme, the workshop strengthens capacity for PACER Plus Parties to meet global trade rules.

PACER Plus Rules of Origin training began at Samoa's Ministry of Customs & Revenue. The workshop helps stakeholders understand RoO provisions, enabling duty-free trade with Australia & NZ. Attendees include customs officials, brokers, and private sector representatives.

Tonga's farmers & exporters benefit from PACER Plus, adopting digital phytosanitary certificates for faster trade. PACER Plus also boosts food safety & standards, helping Tongan products compete globally & access markets like NZ. This was shared by the PPIU at the #PWAF2025.
