This rare wild thyme (Thymus integer) grows only on the mountain slopes of Cyprus. Unlike the familiar pot herb, its luminous pink flowers stand on end, like trumpets to the sky.

Good morning friends. On another beautiful, sunny one here’s my #SevenOnSunday a small reflection of all the colour that’s bursting forth from the garden presently. Let’s take joy in the small things in life as it’s easy to take them for granted till they’re gone. #gardening

This stunning 'Katharine Hodgkin' Iris is a dwarf iris which only grows to 12cm in height so be sure to look down when you next visit the Alpinum Garden. With its large pale blue flowers and falls heavily veined with deeper blue and yellow at the base you shouldn't miss this.

Delicate yet full of spirit, the vibrant blooms of #Iris reticulata unfurl in shades of indigo, violet and blue, their petals sketched with intricate markings. Thriving in well-drained soil and basking in the winter sun, they bring elegance to borders, rock gardens and pots.

As the light lingers and the air warms, the Italian Garden readies itself for its seasonal transformation. Magnolias unfurl beside clouds of blossom, their petals catching the light. Later, exotic fritillaries and pots of tulips will bring vivid notes of joy to this space.

A day in the life of a garden designer might not be as you expect! At our West Sussex coastal site, planning happens amid renovations. The AMPG team navigates between fencing & trades, using many site-reclaimed materials for a garden that will thrive in salty coastal conditions.

The Garden of Allah is a place of peace and planting heritage. Created in 1925, it’s now one of the most richly planted areas of the Garden, home to rare champion trees, shrubs and perennials - many grown from seed collected by legendary plant hunters.
