Huge credit to Dr Rob Jones, who I have worked alongside for years to get Wales-specific justice data published. For too long, Wales has been treated as an appendage of England, which lets down our people. This is a step towards a system that serves the people of Wales.

Three independent commissions have backed devolving policing to Wales. Scotland, Northern Ireland – even London and Manchester – have powers over policing. Asked if Wales should too, the Home Secretary says: “No I do not.” Labour has no respect for Wales.
