This morning, in geography, our year 6 children had their first go at using the Digital Thinking Hard Tasks from the CUSP Curriculum. It was great to see the children use their iPads and apply their geography skills Alex Bedford

Suffolk Libraries have created the Reading Quest, a set of fun activities to take part in over the 6 week break. Today the children had an assembly introducing it to them. Suffolk Libraries have also created the attached video to be shared: youtube.com/watch?v=-DO-RV… Enjoy :)

During the 6 week break there was a competition between the Trust schools in Haverhill to get as many children to sign up to the Suffolk Reading Challenge. Well, Place Farm won! The children were so excited to receive a box of new books!

During the 6 week break many of our children started using the Fonetti app to support with reading. This week we found out that we have been shortlisted as a finalist for our region. If we win, we are invited to Amazon HQ in London Fonetti

This week Year 5 and 6 enjoyed an author zoom call with Katherine Rundell, the author of Rooftoppers and The Explorer. This was a wonderful opportunity to hear about her new book and ask lots of questions!
