There has never been a college receiver better than Larry Fitzgerald was at Pitt! He even managed to make those old “PITTSBURGH” jerseys look good! Congratulations Larry on your much-deserved induction into the College Football Hall of Fame! Next stop Canton!

It was long overdue, but it would be hard to imagine a better jersey retirement ceremony than what Pittsburgh Penguins put together for Jaromir Jagr! Congratulations Jaromir! You can pick up one of those amazing warmup jerseys PensGear, would be a great start to your own museum collection!

He had his ups and downs, but whenever José DeLeón was scheduled to start for the Bucs, we simply had to watch. We are very saddened to hear of his passing. May he Rest in Peace!

Congratulations to the great Bill Hillgrove on his 30 incredible years as the voice of Steelers football! Looking forward to at least a few more for Pitt. He’s as great a guy as there is. To paraphrase one of his putting mantras, he definitely did NOT miss it on the “pro side”!

So saddened to hear the great Andy Russell has passed. Andy began his Steelers career wearing #36 in 1963, when he was almost part of an unlikely NFL Championship Game berth. Then left to fulfill ROTC commitments before returning as #34. His epic TD return is now complete. RIP

What a great draft! Fun fact—even with 3 Wilsons on the roster, their jerseys are all likely to just say “Wilson”. The Pittsburgh Steelers have never put a first initial on the back of a jersey, from TJ and Derek Watt to Henry, Steve, & the great Sam Davis in the 70s. Uni Watch #HereWeGo

In Super Bowl X, the @Steelers ushered in our nation’s Bicentennial by wearing this sensational patch as they defeated Dallas 21-17. Happy Independence Day everyone and God Bless America! #Happy4thofJuly #HereWeGo

It is our great honor to announce that The Hawk, the legendary Connie Hawkins, who starred for the ABL Pittsburgh Rens and led the Pittsburgh Pipers to the inaugural 1967-68 ABA World Championship, has been enshrined at pittsburghhalloffame.com. He was the Lemieux of the hardwood!

The Pittsburgh Steelers have NEVER worn white at home since the 1970 AFL/NFL merger, whether 3 Rivers or Heinz/Acrisure, not even preseason. Might be time for Super Bowl IX throwbacks when they celebrate the 50th anniversary on October 20th, with the little point on the # 5s! #HereWeGo

Looking closely at Jim Leyland’s Hall of Fame plaque at Cooperstown, we can almost detect a faint “P” where the logo should be.  And everyone knows that Jim Leyland is a Pittsburgh Pirate first and foremost.  Congratulations Jim on your great achievement! #LetsGoBucs

We had this ready to go, but then came the sad news. Nobody meant more to us than the great Mike Lange, who is now enshrined at pittsburghhalloffame.com. At :31 in this video is his rarely-heard call of Mario Lemieux legendary first goal! From Stone Cold Sid with thanks

Great moment tonight at Highmark Stadium in Pittsburgh where Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC defeated NYCFC of MLS 1-0 to make the US Open Cup Round of 16! Beto Ydrach scored on a header off a last-gasp corner kick right at the end of stoppage time, memorable indeed! Congratulations Riverhounds!

What a putt! Uni and Feamer send congratulations to JJ Spaun, the 2025 #USOpen Champion at Oakmont! He is now eligible for eventual enshrinement into the Pittsburgh Hall of Fame under Category 6: any winner of a major individual sports competition held in the Pittsburgh area!
