🫁Today is #WorldLungDay It’s estimated that between 15-20,000 people a year are diagnosed with PF. Despite PF being as deadly as some cancers, it takes too long for people to get diagnosed, treated & supported. Only 1 in 3 people in the UK have heard of PF. This must change.

Thank you to the many thousands of people across the whole of the NHS & social care who helped deliver the care during the pandemic. Has been a strange and difficult day. But felt it was important to give witness to some small part of the enormity of the challenge we all faced.

Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) can be caused by Pulmonary Fibrosis (PF) & can be dangerous as it can cause heart failure. The symptoms of PH can be similar to those of PF. Living with both makes life a lot more difficult. Need more information? Take a look at Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis 💜

Incredibly grateful to BBC Breakfast for covering this and in awe of sarah courage and resilience to speak out after everything she has been through. Lovely to see Maeve’s beautiful smiling face throughout the piece. She was so much more than her ME. #There4ME

Important and devastating thread. Hospitals were reluctant to go against IPC guidance. Many of us tried hard to raise concerns, to protect ourselves and others, but ultimately could not effect change because ‘national guidance’.
