Exactly. There is almost no difference between antidepressants and placebo in randomised trials and the small difference that exists is easily explained by amplified placebo effects and possibly emotional blunting

One of the biggest reasons why pharmaceutical harm is so hard to understand is because it happens so unfathomably severely to some people, while almost not at all in others. The ones that are damaged are subsequently brushed off, downplayed and dismissed, and the cycle repeats.

I’m so annoyed of people who have taken a drug that causes PSSD or anything related saying stuff like, “I’ve been on it for X amount of years and had nothing happen” congratulations!!! Think about people who have had their lives taken away instead of yourself for one minute.

Serotonin, by blunting emotional response, reliably lowers empathy. SSRI users were significantly less likely to be bothered by seeing other people in pain

Putting chronically ill patients with probable mitochondrial dysfunction into the mental health system, and coercing them into taking psychiatric drugs, which affect mitochondrial function by definition due to drug properties (working on serotonin, dopamine, etc.) is deadly.

If you don't think the FDA is full of criminals, then please explain why they allow brain injuries like this Akathisia and Tardive Dyskinesia, BIND. They allow drugs to make people commit suicide and homicide and allow people to suffer endlessly and even die. Dr. Marty Makary

A guy takes his life because of the subhuman vermin "doctors" of psychiatry prescribing the trash drug olanzapine (the worst of all psych meds out there) and he gets tremors, insomnia, cognitive damage etc. from it reddit.com/user/RandomEri…

They’ve grown your neurons in a dish to see which brain pellet works best for you. ZERO mention of akathisia risk, brutal withdrawal, PSSD, or the suicide link. Same old bullshit in a shiny new wrapper. Efficacy trials appear monthly, real safety trials? Rarely, if ever.

I have lost ALL respect for the ENTIRE field of medicine, outside of the few who are actually speaking up. It has shown itself to be a fraud and a money grab filled with the most despicable order followers who don't care one bit about the oath they take.

ANTIDEPRESSANT WITHDRAWAL INJURY is a serious neurological brain injury that happens even when you stop an SSRI following “standard” doctor tapering advice. After long-term use, the brain & nervous system adapt and change but the rushed 2-4 week one-size-fits-all tapers doctors

Psychiatry is as clueless and out of touch with patients as it is a danger to them. Patients like me who were shit on by this field for decades aren't some teeny-weeny minority huddled in a tiny, dark corner of X. We're from every walk of life and we're everywhere. This is

I came across this notification about the recall of sertraline in the UK (SSRIs) yesterday, because the manufacturer have mixed the drugs in with Citalopram. But what alarmed me on top of the recall, which is bad enough as it is, is the government notification on the second slide
