Cancer update : Hi everyone. Good news - I was accepted into a trial. I'll be starting radiation in a few weeks. First, I get gold seeds (look it up if you've got a strong constitution). Next will be the simulation and then the actual radiation. I'm not sure how many sessions

I avoid bread 98% of the time, and my health has thanked me for it. However buttered toast with homemade raspberry jam at 3:30 AM was exactly what I needed today. That and some quiet time in prayer.

I imagine we all could use a little more jam and Jesus these days.

Cancer update : Hi everyone. I heard from my doctor. He's a man of few words, and said that the chemo did its thing, and now I continue with my meds and the injection I get every 6 months. I later talked to my nurse who told me my 'cancer burden', which is how they measure

Today is 'scan day'. And you thought it was Monday! Today's scans will show if/how well the chemo worked, although I won't get the results until tomorrow or Wednesday. I'm really nervous - not so much for the scans as they're no big deal - but for the results. Please wish me

Cancer update: Good grief, the post- chemo blahs hit me like a truck today. I feel like someone 'unplugged' me! Slept half the day away. I know it'll pass, but not soon enough.
