California's Central Valley produces 80% of the world's almonds. Each almond requires 3.2 gallons of actual irrigation water to grow. Not rainfall. Actual tap water pumped from aquifers. One gallon of almond milk requires 162 gallons of irrigation water. Compare that to dairy

#Beavers have taken their chance to hammer this Oak #Tree . Recent flood took away the previous wire protection. Have wrapped some Chicken Wire around if just to put them off for a couple of nights but will need to replace with 2.5mm Weld Mesh. The speed & damage is brutal 😞

The Tillbridge Solar project, set to be built in North West Lincolnshire, will span approximately 3,000 acres (1,214 hectares) of prime farmland, and it has now received official approval from the Labour government. This is fundamentally wrong. cpre.org.uk/news/deeply-co…

I'm amazed, she only stepped down after the files were released? Surely she knew she'd taken her family there, before the files were released? But that's a minor point; she took her family there!!!

This is interesting. I wonder if this is partly due to the extra exercise involved in walking a dog, whereas there's no extra exercise associated with keeping a cat?🤷
