Nice visit to Holkham Pines on Tues, Grey Partridge, Jackdaw, and Snow Bunting all taken whilst juggling an umbrella. But it didn't dampen the spirit.

Saw two pigeons at Rufford Abbey on the 25th one had the exact markings of a rock dove the second missing the white above the rump. Both birds were heavily ringed which I thought was unusual for feral pigeons. Not sure if I have enough info on rings can anyone help.

There is always plenty to see at Sherwood Forest, with Crossbills and Tawny Owl being regular. My fav on this visit was the Minotaur Beetle. Typhaeus typhoeus is a species of earth-boring dung beetles native to Europe. The beetles have now become rare and are protected in Germany
