War rips families apart. Stories like this one from Burundi, are touching reminders of why it’s so important to trace the missing. The Red Cross Restoring Family links network provides a vital service - preventing separation, searching for the missing & reuniting families.

A high number of dead and injured patients were received by the Red Cross Field Hospital in Rafah this morning. This is indicative of the increasing danger to civilians in Gaza, and the challenges each day brings for them.

In recent days we’ve witnessed first hand mass casualty events in Gaza. This morning at the Red Cross field hospital, our colleagues received the largest number of wounded patients they’ve seen in a single incident since the hospital opened a year ago. 👇

We’re very grateful to Irish Aid for their donation to the ICRC announced yesterday. This unearmarked funding is invaluable as it allows us to support people in need of humanitarian assistance wherever they are. gov.ie/en/department-…

It was a privilege to have met with Dr Younis Al Khatib, president of the PRCS in London today. We discussed the deteriorating situation in the occupied territories, where the PRCS are carrying out vital, lifesaving work in the most difficult circumstances.

This morning, an ICRC staff member was wounded by a stray bullet at the Red Cross Field Hospital in Gaza. Such incidents, which we have seen our colleague Rieke speak about over the last three days, are unacceptable. ➡ Rieke's testimony: x.com/ICRC_uk/status…
