I’m excited to share a new manuscript on Sirtuin6-nucleosome structure, a result of a great collaboration between Peterson Lab, Song Tan’s, and Jean-Paul Armache labs. /1 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

We observed how Sirt6 interacts with the nucleosome, by engaging with the DNA, acidic-patch, H3 and H2A C-terminal tail. /3

The dynamic behavior of Sirt6 provides clues for how it can deacetylate both H3K9 and H3K56 /4
