Keep it local but keep your eyes peeled on your exercise. Our project officer spotted this Mandarin whilst skiving this afternoon. Wildlife are therapeutic!

The great churchyards across #DumfriesAndGalloway all contain stories, many of which are detailed in their stone carvings. One such place is Kells Churchyard in #NewGalloway - walking amongst its stones, you'll find yourself quickly immersed in the rich history contained within👇

What a great project. Heard a talk about similar project in Wales at a conference a couple of years ago, so good to see D&G adding to knowledge base

The project also made it into the print version of The Herald yesterday with Phoebe 🐕 starring in the photos! Both photographs were taken by Jon Barker - the top one is of Rutherford's Well in #Anwoth, & the bottom one shows Whita Well near #Langholm. #LostWellsOfGalloway

Amazing - an online project based in Durham & Northumberland that's also seeking out lost wells if anyone fancies helping them out. Good luck! 😃
