🐾 A promising start for our #MineDetectionDogs! In their first month of work, FSD handlers and their dogs cleared over 11,000 m² of land in Kharkiv Oblast, #Ukraine — speeding up #MineClearance and helping families return home #safely.

🌱 In Armero-Guayabal, #Colombia, FSD is supporting conflict #victims through a large-scale hydroponic #greenhouse project — strengthening livelihoods and community resilience. FSD recently organised an outdoor integration day to encourage #teamwork among participants.

Earlier this month, FSD welcomed representatives of KfW Development Bank and the PATRIP Foundation — one of the main #donors supporting our operations in #Tajikistan — to Shurob for a field visit of two sites recently cleared of #explosive remnants of war.

“My sister said: ‘Why did you come back here?’ But we came home.” For people displaced by conflicts, returning to their houses isn’t just about a physical location — but also the feeling of home. FSD is glad to work alongside World Food Programme and Food and Agriculture Organization to help families regain that feeling.

📱 QR Codes for Safer Communities in #Ukraine FSD is testing new ways to keep communities #safe by integrating QR codes into #mine hazard warning signs. These codes help users understand the borders of hazardous areas and access safety information on #explosive ordnance.

💙The Bond between #Deminers and the #Community In a village near Rasht, #Tajikistan, our team cleared six electrical pillars contaminated with unexploded ordnance. The area is now safe — a relief for this resident, but also a bittersweet farewell to the deminers she saw daily.
