Maybe I’m being romantic but there seems to be so much more finesse when you flush a Woodcock compared to a Pheasant. The former does so sleekly but sharp as an arrow, darting through the wood as if it’s one with it.

The latter is like someone carpet bombed a whoopee cushion.
