“We are deeply disappointed that Governor Lamont has chosen to veto the most comprehensive effort to tackle Connecticut’s urgent housing crisis. Connecticut cannot create jobs, lower costs, and attract businesses without building more housing." Senator Bob Duff, Majority Leader, Connecticut

Shame on you Governor Ned Lamont (Governor Ned Lamont) for vetoing this common sense pro-housing bill. Housing costs are the number one issue facing Nutmeggers. His veto of HB 5002 means the housing affordability crisis will fester for yet another year.

Governor Ned Lamont Democrats lost perhaps the most important generation because many Americans don't trust them to lead on kitchen table cost of living issues, and vetoing common sense legislation to get housing built only reinforces that narrative.

While CT Republicans, Lamont, and some Democrats clutch their pearls about eliminating some parking mandates, NC goes all in without hesitation. The current breakdown is 71 R, 49 D. CT Rs just love their red tape and the nanny state.

It's done!! On a unanimous council vote, and after 6+ years, countless hours of public comment, and more than 40 community meetings... ...Berkeley has *officially* ended single-family only zoning and legalized multifamily housing citywide!!!

Who makes land use decisions in CT? Our new report finds women, renters & non-white people are severely underrepresented on local land use boards in Fairfield & New London Counties, while offering recommendations to increase & support participation. 🔗 bit.ly/RoomAtTheTable…

It's weird that a big tent Democratic party wouldn't include the guy who just handily won the Democratic primary in the city with the most Democratic voters in America. #votersmatter

The apparent lack of interest in data-driven policy or international best practices, combined with an eagerness to butt into every policy area, is a real culture problem with US fire departments.

We lost legendary housing organizer Mike McKee (TenantsPAC) earlier today. Thank you for mentoring so many younger organizers & generously imparting your wisdom to us. Here is Mike being silly & doing a coordinated dance with organizers at a retreat last year. Rest in peace 🌹

We need strong action on housing in Connecticut — but don't just take it from us. RPA teamed up with YouGov and found that nearly 90% of CT residents want Gov. Lamont to take action on housing
