I’m very grateful and proud that Carlsbergfondet decided to fund me while I go to @SkirballNYUSoM to study membrane proteins using cryo EM in David Stokes’ research group 🔬

Last month was postdoc appreciation week for a whole month @Nyulangone. I had a great time at both formal and less formal events and met a lot of colleagues for the first time. I feel appreciated!

Yesterday I returned to Department of Plant & Environmental Sciences and the @perssonlab1 where @krfrandsen and I will do some very exciting structural biology to help tell better plant stories. Thankful for the time in David Stokes lab and excited abt being back!

ENSA scientists have discovered a genetic regulator that turns off #NitrogenFixation in legumes when soil nitrate levels are high. Removing the gene ensures model legumes can continue to fix nitrogen. Discover more from Dugald Reid and others in nature: bit.ly/4blSgjq

Proud to see new research from ENSA scientists, Dugald Reid and others bearing fruit. Discovering the nitrogen-fixing “off switch” in legumes takes the world one step closer to managing rural farming systems to reduce fertiliser input while increasing productivity.
