5/ We can all read their report, which is interspersed with Latin legal maxims and philosophical reflections on the proper manner of interpreting circumstantial evidence. This is typical for European court judgements.

3/ European courts usually announce their decision long before they publish a ruling. In this case, the CoC announced its ruling months before it published its 'reasons'. These are literally translated as 'motivations', but are better called 'reasons' or 'justifications.'

2/ That is, the Court has the unique power to 'break' or invalidate the rulings of any lower court. It uses this power rarely, just like the US Supreme Court. After many thorough appeals, the Court of Cassation ruled Amanda Knox and Raffaelle Sollecito were innocent.

Really no excuse for not figuring out by now why #AmandaKnox and #Sollecito were ultimately vindicated and exonerated. But, in case you haven't, you'll profit from Andrew Hammel's thread. Says it all.
