Carleigh Perry’s story is an example of why sports are so great. She battled through 2 ACL tears and just helped her team win the NCHSAA 3A State Championship, while taking home the MVP honors.

Congrats to Carson’s Carleigh Perry and Salisbury’s Kyla Bryant, co-players of the year for girls basketball, and to coach of the year Brooke Stouder.

I'm thinking the wildest, longest softball game ever played. Carson led West Rowan 9-1, trailed 12-10, and finally won it 13-12 bottom 7 on Kary Hales' bases-loaded double. You don't expect 10 errors from West and Carson, but also some good plays and a lot of clutch hits.

If Guilford is not in the tourney, then the system needs to be tweaked. We can’t leave out one of the best teams in the country. Hopefully the NCAA and those that make decisions can make some positive changes.
