This week, Hays CISD visited Perez Elementary to learn more about implementing the Dual Language Program. AISD Multilingual Ed was so proud to showcase the wonderful work teachers and administrators do on campus. ¡Adelante, colegas!

This week I got to visit @LandaverdeYadi’s class Perez Elementary to read and write poetry with our AISD Multilingual Ed learners who discussed the author’s use of figurative language and how it helps express emotions and create images for the reader.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year- book gift-away! Kids get one book to give and one to keep!

We don't have school Monday to honor Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Each class took time this week to learn about his life & impact, & our 3rd graders presented at morning assembly to help us all learn from his example. On Monday, take time to learn about and discuss his legacy.
