Every City worker deserves a workplace free of harassment - that was the focus of yesterday’s Council hearing.

Tim Pearson’s alleged actions are incredibly troubling and the handling of his case has raised a very long list of questions.

I’ve requested DOI_OIGNYPD conduct an official investigation and review of the recent pattern and practice of deploying official NYPD social media accounts to aggressively target public officials and civilians in NYC— and use dog whistles that can lead to threats and violence.

Has City Hall never witnessed a legislative oversight hearing in the Council, the state Legislature, Congress or student government? The speaker is obviously not going to open this investigation...

Really hope someone successfully FOILs for *all* comms bw admin/NYPD & colleges re all protests from past year.. & asks direct qs of admin/NYPD more immediately. Seems clear there's scripting that's happened but likely also other dangerous, anti-democratic trends to be revealed.

Our libraries aren’t open seven days a week, our early childhood workers are severely underpaid, our communities have to fight for school funding around the clock for what? So that our fucking mayor can send throngs and throngs of police to terrorize students.

If there are no consequences when a public official brandishes a gun to scare college students engaging in protest, and no consequences when a police officer *fires* a gun where college students are engaging in protest, when *will* there be consequences? I'm afraid to even ask.
