FIRST DISABLED PEOPLE WERE LOCKED AWAY IN INSTITUTIONS THEN, THEY WERE LOCKED BEHING THE EXPECTATIONS OF OTHERS. THE POWER TO SAY "THIS IS WHO I AM AND I EXPECT THAT YOUR RESPECT FOR ME WILL DEFINE YOUR SUPPORT OF ME" IS SOMETHING THAT PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES HAVE LONGED TO SAY.
