The Cuckoo arrived at Pensychnant on Tuesday April 12th and has been calling monotonously since. This is earlier than recent years. The swallows are back over the Ffridd and there are dozens of Wheatears on the Mountain. Come and join us for coffee and cake this weekend 😊👍☕️🍰

Levi + Tom Gravett Levi Gravett popped up to Pensychnant this morning as they are trying to record as many birds within 10km of their Penrhyn Bay home this year. They saw a male Pied Flycatcher, 5 fantastic Redstart, Redpoll, Tree Pipit and spotted our local Green Woodpecker!

ASHWORTH'S RUSTIC WEEKEND Sat 9th - Sun 10th July On Sat night the moth traps are out in the hope of catching Ashworth's Rustic and Weaver's Wave. On Sunday morning, 11am, we will be showing the night's catch. Free but donations appreciated. Tea, Coffee and cakes on sale-Join us!

A fantastic day here at Pensychnant Conservation Centre. Amongst all the moths was this fantastic Lunar Hornet Moth which made Julian smile. Broad-leaved Helleborine starting to appear in the woods. Ysgol San Siôr Bee Bombs for sale at the centre too - call in and browse our wares😊👍
