Yesterday our sixth grade students created equivalent expressions using algebra tiles. Through this exploration, students discovered the Distributive Property!

Last Thursday, Pennoyer was visited by the world champion robotics team NYAN-Not Your Average Nerds! The high school students presented to our 3rd-8th grade classes and even let our students drive some robots! Thanks to NYAN for giving our students this amazing opportunity.

American Heart Association came out to Pennoyer today and the assemblies went great! K-8 students learned all about health and wellness. #pennoyerpride

Pennoyer’s 2026 School Spelling Bee Finals was today and an amazing group of 1st-8th graders showed off their skills I’m the competition! #pennoyerpride

Katie Galuska-5th Grade teacher, arranged for the NYAN Robotics team to visit Pennoyer last week. Students heard a presentation about robotics, participated in an engineering game, tried some remote controlled robots and made paper airplanes. The 4th graders had a great time!

Fort Day Fun! 🏕️ Our 5th graders worked hard and earned an epic incentive: building classroom forts and learning inside them all day. Way to go, 5th grade!

Travel Club traveled to Japan 🇯🇵 last week! Students explored the culture, learned a few Japanese phrases, enjoyed treats, and were excited to have a special visit from Mr. G!
