Ahead of next weekend’s curtain raiser against Barton, Caistor Town played host to Pelican Cricket Club today in a pre season friendly and won by 6 runs. Big thanks to the Pelican boys for making the trip across the Humber.

Sunday XI start with a bang!🏏 Yesterday we finally beat the weather and managed to get a game in. An innings which saw 8 6’s for Pelican! Andy Roulston top scored with 40 and there was a vital contribution from both Ian Dows 32 and Noman Khalid 28. Jonathan Ellis 9-2-27-5.

RECORDS TUMBLE 💥🏏 Pelican have reached 366-3 after winning the toss and electing to bat. This is Pelican’s highest ever total, lead by Andy Roulston with 175*, the clubs highest ever individual score, which included a record partner of 229 with Sutha who fell for 89.

Sunday XI put to the sword👎 Stamford Bridge CC🏏 run out winners by 7 wickets. Shafin Khandaker top scores with 34 but Stamford chase it down within 26 overs. Wicket a piece for Noman Khalid, Ian Dows and Callum Morley. We go again next week 🏏

Pelican make it back to back wins in the league! 💥 After loosing the toss, Pelican was put into bat and racked up a score of 254-7 thanks to contributions from Sutha 48, Stu Martin 33, Bala 30. Hymerian’s was restricted to 206-6 thanks to 3-13 from Bala and 2-56 from Jelly.
