Life-changing, life saving research yet again from fantastic University of Southampton colleagues, funded so generously by @UniSotonAlumni & supporters. The magic of bringing together experts across engineering and medicine - awesome!

Meet Athina Uy, a Deputy Sister on CCU. This photo was taken two hours into her 12 hour shift, where she will be wearing a PeRSo hood all day, except on her breaks. “What I like about this hood is that the patients can see my whole face and I know that is more reassuring”💙

@RDsouthampton @JoeTeape PeRSo Wave 1 & then 2 but with PeRSo can’t put into words what a difference it made. But I think my smile can! Patients could see our faces, lip read, no more sore faces, made it easier to communicate with colleagues. But most of all thank you for keeping us safe

An unexpectedly brilliant morning of culture in #Southampton. We saw the University of Southampton PeRSo prototype in SeaCity Museum and learned about our family history of #Basque refugees, then interactive art at the wonderful John Hansard Gallery Love our city. #SO25 🙂
