I spoke at the Valley Patriot’s 21st Anniversary Charity BASH celebration, where we honored some of Methuen’s community members whose bravery, generosity and service have made a positive impact on the Merrimack Valley!

Powerful morning this past Friday at the Women’s Solidarity Breakfast hosted by the Dominican Development Center. We celebrated immigrant women who are leading & shaping their own narratives. These women are building stronger communities through their advocacy & hard work.

I attended multiple Joint Committees on Ways and Means budget hearings across the state, where members of the committee reviewed key investments in education, local aid, health & human services, & public safety. These discussions are essential in shaping the FY26 budget.

Congratulations to Baní Grocery and Restaurant on their grand opening! We stopped by 205 S Union in Lawrence for some traditional food from DR, including soups, plantains, arepas and more!

I attended Colonial Sport Bar’s grand opening this week, where Mayor Brian De Peña and I recognized new owner Ysidoro Perez Feliz’s hard work in seeing his project come to life. Stop by Colonial Sport Bar on 283 Broadway in Lawrence for a good time!

Just visited The Time Machine in Haverhill - what a ride through the decades! From groovy ‘70s vibes to Y2K nostalgia, this vintage gift shop is a treasure trove of memories. The owners have done an incredible job curating a one-of-a-kind experience that lives up to its name.

My office holds Office Hours on the first Wednesday of every month at the Methuen Senior Center! Come in between 10-12am for questions and direct in-person assistance from my team on utility bills, unemployment and more. We are here for you!

My team was grateful to join the Merrimack Valley Building Trades Council for a conversation about the future of our workforce. Skilled trades are the backbone of our communities — creating jobs, supporting families, & building the infrastructure that keeps us moving forward.

This past weekend, the community came together with the Moore family to unveil a new plaque honoring Staff Sergeant Phillip V. Moore — a lasting tribute to his service & sacrifice. Thanks to the family’s advocacy, this memorial now stands in a place of visibility and respect.💜💪🏽

At Y Advocacy Day, we celebrated Lawrence’s own Nayeli Almanzar Lizardo for being selected to the 2025 Youth Advisory Council with YMCA of the USA. Nayeli is 1 of 20 teens chosen from across the country, and the sole representative from Massachusetts. ⭐️👏🏽

My team was honored to join volunteers at the Smoke Alarms Save Lives event in Lawrence — a powerful partnership between the Red Cross, Entre Amigos, and Lawrence City Councilor Reyes. Grateful to Kyle McWilliam-Lopez & the Red Cross team for leading this life-saving work. ❤️🫂

My office joined self-advocates, family members, caregivers, and community representatives to celebrate the 20th Annual Autism Advocacy Day! We celebrated Representative Christine Barber and Senator Cindy Friedman for their advocacy for the autistic community over the years.

My team had a great time at MACDC's Annual Lobby Day last week, joining community members, staff, & residents from across the state to advocate for crucial legislation. We were glad to see ACT Lawrence, actively lobbying & uplifting the voices of residents in our region.

Honoring Fire Chief Brian Moriarty as he retires after decades of dedicated service to Lawrence. His leadership had shown us what true courage and commitment to a community looks like. Wishing him peace, rest, and joy in this next chapter. Thank you, Chief. 👨‍🚒

We held a Town Hall meeting in Methuen, where I spoke directly with constituents in Methuen about their questions and concerns regarding government decisions and policymaking. Thanks to everyone who came, and special thanks to Congresswoman Lori Trahan for organizing the event!

It was an honor to visit the Moore family at their home to present an official citation recognizing Staff Sergeant Phillip V. Moore’s service & sacrifice. His legacy lives on through the memorial in Lawrence & the community that honors his memory. 💜🇺🇸

Advocates joined us at the State House for March of Dimes Advocacy Day to support maternal + infant health. With the largest measles outbreak in TX since 2000, the need for strong advocacy + access to care is more urgent than ever. 💪🏽🩷
