Thank you to The Rainbow Project for running a powerful and informative event at Stormont. It was really important to hear the perspective of those who are on the receiving end of such intolerance, toxic behaviour and dehumanising language by some.

Was delighted to attend today’s M.E. event at Stormont, but as frustrated as many there at the lack of progress on three key aims: - alignment with NICE Guidelines; - mandatory undergraduate education and training for healthcare professionals; and - public awareness campaigns.

*Update on efforts to restore Wilmont House* I’ve been campaigning to get Wilmont House in Lady Dixon Park restored, and I’m delighted to share that GoldenThreadGallery have secured £83k from The National Lottery Heritage Fund NI to conduct a feasibility study for a community and arts space.

Well done to the camogie players for taking a stance over the wearing of skorts! In 2023 the Fed’n of International Hockey changed its rules but most teams haven’t made the switch. Maybe we will see some teams being pro-active now 🤷🏻‍♀️ Equality is coming ladies: keep going ✌️

A really useful mtg w/ Ulster Hockey today w/ Sian Mulholland MLA - discussing the need for more investment in pitches, the importance of club development and outreach, and the overall status of the game in the community and in schools!

Since last July, the Government has made and continued a series of cruel moves targeting the most vulnerable in our society. It's time for Labour to deliver the change they promised at the last election.

The UK Government must reverse its damaging welfare cuts and deliver fairer funding for our public services, Alliance Finance spokesperson Eóin Tennyson MLA has said ahead of the upcoming Spending Review. allianceparty.org/uk_gov_must_re…

The Madleen is a civilian vessel, unarmed and sailing in international waters, carrying humanitarian aid, baby formula, rice and essentials. It is appalling to hear of the inhumanity of the Israeli government spokespeople saying that they will not allow the aid through.

With the committee phase of the School Uniform Bill progressing, Alliance education spokespeople Nick Mathison and Michelle Guy have repeated concerns that the Bill as it stands may not deliver for parents and young people. allianceparty.org/alliance_expre…

The violence we have witnessed in recent days in Ballymena and other parts of Northern Ireland is appalling, and I urgently appeal for calm throughout our society. Those responsible do not reflect our communities, and my thoughts are with everyone who has been affected.

“Concerned” about women and girls, while they attack women and girls. “Concerned” about housing, while burning homes. “Concerned” about public services, as they destroy a leisure centre. This has nothing to do with “legitimate concerns”. It is pure, unabated racism.

This social media post from the Communities Minister was reckless and completely irresponsible. No politician should be publicly identifying locations used to shelter to families seeking refuge from violent, racist disorder; even if only temporarily.

Delighted that it looks as though the Executive will agree the bid for £5m I submitted to assist the PSNI with the costs of the past week's unrest. It’s a good start but long-term investment is required.

Paula Bradshaw MLA (@paulajaneb) 's Twitter Profile Photo

It has been a very tough week for the entire workforce of the PSNI and so this additional funding is very much welcomed. It also hopefully sends a strong message that thuggery and rioting will not and cannot be tolerated.
