The Planning Committee meets tomorrow to decide the fate of a bonded warehouse that has stood on Oswald Street for 180 years. Façade retention is feasible. The case for demolition is based on a shoddy survey by an engineer who isn't conservation-accredited glasgowworld.com/news/plans-to-…

There has been a lot of concern about the proposal to demolish a large part of the A-listed former North British Locomotive Company HQ in Springburn.

After discussion with the owner, he has agreed to withdraw the demolition application and to work with me to explore alternatives

The Govan Pantry provides vital support to feed local people in need.

People across Scotland are paying the price for 14 years of Tory failure.

This election is an opportunity to boot out the Tories and deliver the change Scotland needs.

stuff: Buddleja can be incredibly damaging. Sadly, the ‘B’ listed MacSorley’s pub building on Jamaica Street is a bad example in the city centre with a buddleja bush prising apart the stones at the top of the gable thus leading to water ingress 👀👇🫣! 1/2

Well done Paul Sweeney! Delighted to hear that Marcus Dean has been persuaded to scrap plans to demolish the bulk of this iconic building.

It was a treat to visit cunardline's newest ship, Queen Anne, on her inaugural visit to the River Clyde.

The scale of this 113,000 tonne Italian-built cruise ship is impressive, but why are we not building and repairing these ships on the Clyde?

Across Balornock and Barmulloch today, the support for Labour was incredible.

Between now and the General Election, me and my team will be campaigning for every vote.

It's sickening to watch the SNP throw away £450 million of funding when projects across Glasgow have been starved of funds and vital community regeneration schemes have been cancelled this year.

Scotland deserves better.

Always good to have more people on the canvassing round at the end of the session than at the beginning!

Thanks to everyone who turned out today. Off to enjoy a Bluebird Cafe ice cream.

It was lovely to round off the trip to Inverclyde with a canvass session for Scottish Labour's excellent candidate Martin McCluskey. Martin is dedicated to this community. We will work together across the Glasgow City Region to realise the River Clyde's vast industrial potential.

It's so infuriating to see this vicious act of vandalism to the Overtoun Park Bandstand, a product of Possilpark's Saracen Foundry in 1914. Thankfully, the cast iron structure still seems sound.

Specialists like Lost Art Limited have great expertise in restoring these bandstands.
