The #QHack2021 team Notorious FUB has done it again 🇩🇪 🙌 Happy to announce that they have been awarded the $2500 prize for best use of the TPU-based quantum simulator Floq for their QHack project 🏆 Peter-Jan Derks Paul K. Faehrmann Elies Gil-Fuster Thomas Hubregtsen Johannes Jakob Meyer David Wierichs
In February this year, Paul K. Faehrmann and his friends/colleagues from Freie Universität won Xanadu's #Qhack2021 QML Challenge. Today, he is (virtually) visiting JKU - Johannes Kepler Universität Linz and talks about how they did it! The corresponding paper is available at arxiv.org/abs/2105.02276
Always glad to see when our research makes it out of the lab into the real world! Our related publication is also available now: scirate.com/arxiv/2105.022… With David Wierichs, Elies Gil-Fuster, Peter-Jan Derks, Paul K. Faehrmann, and Johannes Jakob Meyer. #notoriousFUB
The "trick" to good quantum embeddings is to train the kernel🍿 Learn more in this great new tutorial, whose seeds🌽 sprouted in the #QHack2021 project of Notorious FUB 🇩🇪 Peter-Jan Derks Paul K. After our Paul K. Faehrmann winning the Quantum Futur Award 2020 and our team winning the #QHack2021 Award, I am happy to announce that Johannes Jakob Meyer has actually won the #QFAward2021. Very well deserved, Johannes! Quantentechnologien
Happy to announce that our paper on the randomized implementation of multi-product formulas for Hamiltonian simulation (arxiv.org/abs/2101.07808) was awarded the USRA-Q2B ANISQC Best Paper Award 2021! Thanks, Mark Steudtner, Richard Kueng, Marika Kieferova, and Jens Eisert
Work on training quantum embedding #kernels on near-term #quantumcomputers by Thomas Hubregtsen, David Wierichs, Elies Gil-Fuster, Peter-Jan Derks, Paul K. Faehrmann, Johannes Jakob Meyer - work that has won the Xanadu quantum machine learning hackatron #QHack2021 - has been published in the Physical Review A.
Happy to share our tutorial on how to use perturbative gadgets in variational algorithms! Based on the work done with Paul K. Faehrmann, Sumeet Khatri and Jens Eisert
In the shadow of the Hadamard test: Using the garbage state for good and further modifications I am excited to see this improvement of the important primitive of the Hadamard test in #quantumalgorithms in press in the Physical Review Letters. We combine the usually unused output with
