Cork in Ireland is on the same latitude as Newfoundland in Canada. It's the Gulf Stream that gives us very different winters. Gulf stream could collapse as early as 2025, study suggests. theguardian.com/environment/20

Has anyone ever surveyed Irish people on whether they actually want all the red tape and ecological paperwork that prevent housing, energy infrastructure, transit and other important works from being built?

Lluís Juncà This is amazing. The City of Barcelona eliminated 3 lanes of vehicle traffic & converted the street into a 4.7km green pedestrian corridor in the heart of the Eixample grid. Businesses sued. They eventually won. But then the businesses said they like it. citylabbcn.org/the-legal-atta

Delighted to attend the partnership launch of @BordnaMona and Amazon Web Services today for their Eco Energy Park concept. The idea of decarbonisd business parks where new businesses can thrive & be zero-carbon simultaneously is fantastic & should be a real focus of Ireland's industrial policy.

That high resolution AROME model out to 9am shows gusts I’ve never seen this model show before for Ireland and this model is one of the best there is for Ireland. Anyone saying this is just another storm is in for a rude awakening. This will be an historic storm. #StormÉowyn

Ulster forced to let their greatest ever import leave so he doesn’t block the path of a young Irish 9. But Leinster are welcome to do so with a Kiwi centre. Directly blocking the path of some young Irish centres. At a province who have produced 1 Irish centre since BOD left.
