After a few weeks of fostering we said goodbye today to Dressel. Truly he taught us more than we taught him. We shed a few tears but his smile will be our favorite memory! I am confident he will positively impact his next foster family and facility placement. Circle Tail, Inc.

Got to spend the last five days with my family - as they get older Dora Daniels and I enjoy every minute we can. I like the emerging adult stage and the impromptu conversations.

My ahaha moment of the last 6 months - people are passionate about their work and their slice of the work, but they don’t always see how it fits into the bigger pie. The larger question is - how do you help them see beyond without diminishing their light?

I have often seen the top quote, but I love the idea of opportunities. Be weary of walnut trees - they disguise themselves but in due time they always show their true self.

Week one without students and staff 😔. My absolute favorite thing to do is walk our buildings between staff and student arrival to connect and check in. I miss it already. The feedback and small chats are invaluable. Looking forward to 24-25 & morning visits #AppreciateTheM

A new term to me is “Sunday Scaries” thoughts or challenges for the week of work ahead that creep in as Sunday fades 🤷. I think it’s normal to have hard tasks weigh on you. I try to create a plan on Friday as I leave, that way I am ready and dialed in & have a great weekend.

In our lives there is only so much energy in the universe to share and recharge. I love number 9 and 10 on this list - they are things that I can directly control and grow to improve on.

Wednesday thought - when your younger you’re in a hurry to grow up but as I watch my kids become young adults - the nostalgia of unique memories and experiences with my grandparents and parents creep in. I miss those that are gone and Iam thankful for each of those moments.

Hard to believe we have had Sabin in our house for 3 years. He is smart, loveable, and dedicated to his mission from Circle Tail, Inc. - cheers to year 4 with Misty Goetz @MjhToddwells @MJHS_Ferguson at Milford Junior High School and of course his favorite office aunties.
