An interesting paper from HMRC on improving quality of some third party information it receives & better utilising it to help taxpayers - all very much in line with OTS thinking gov.uk/government/conโ€ฆ

At ICAEW One Moorgate Place today for what was to have been my last ICAEW Tax Faculty Board meeting, but happily I've been reappointed for another two years. I joined the Tax Faculty Committee in 2001, served as Chair 2007-9 & much has changed (& much stayed the same) in tax over that time!

I confess to being one of the last to leave the CIOT Parliamentary Reception last night - what an evening to be on the House of Commons Terrace. Great to hear Craig Mackinlay James Murray Gareth Davies MP & Nicola Ross Martin & to meet so many colleagues from the tax world
