Today UETCL carried out a successful load rejection test

A load rejection test is part of commissioning for power systems to confirm that the system can withstand a sudden loss of load and return to normal operating conditions using its governor. Sudden loss of load leads to higher frequency.

Currently, Ministry of Energy & Mineral Development is conducting extensive countrywide consultations with artisanal and small-scale miners. A key focus of these consultations is the demarcation of specific areas for artisanal mining, as mandated by the Mining and Minerals Act, 2022. planetGOLD Uganda

Our second stop for the day was at Kigezi Iron Ore Artisanal Miners Association,who warmly welcomed us to inspect their mining operations that are exposed to 2.4million tones of Ore. Gladly there is an upgrade from Artisanal to small scale mining, a progress we wish to see

We also stopped by Sino Minerals Investments in Kabale District. We are pleased to know that they're fulfilling their community development agreement with the district local government by having different initiatives such as road construction, maintenance, scholarships, etc
