Measurement of methane is so poor that ECCC actually revised emissions UP from previous years.

In 2021, for example, instead of 38.8 Mt/yr, the revised amount is 45.9.

The 2024 data show a reduction of 2.4 from 2021 to 2022.

Emma Graney 🇦🇺🤷🏻‍♀️🇨🇦 We now know that AUC and AESO - supposedly arms-length institutions - did not request a renewables pause (as the UCP claimed), but were told to did it.

This confirms what we’ve been saying all along. The UCP went against the AESO that said: “If we make ourselves unwelcoming, investment will just go elsewhere.”

Turning AB’s independent agencies into political lapdogs ruins our reputation; and sent industry into “tailspin” #ableg
