Every pastor should be learning from an older pastor and investing in a younger pastor. So many issues with pastors would be helped if this was embraced.

Pray for your pastor today. He might be facing a spiritual attack from the enemy today that is keeping him from preparing to pour out and minister to his congregation tomorrow.

Every couple of months I drive 2 hours to get lunch with this amazing friend, Dr. Robert Smith. He has been an answer to prayer for me as a friend and mentor in this season of my life. My encouragement to pastors to have an older man in their life applies to me too.

Pastors, challenge your older people to invest in those younger than them in your church. This generational disciple idea is undeniable in Titus 2. Sadly, it is hard to find in many churches. And yet, it is an overlooked metric of which we should measure church health.
