Małek is an interesting story. Drafted out of the 🇨🇿 2nd division before going to Ilves in Liiga.

A decent first season propelled Małek into the starters net this season, going 16-4-5 with a .915 Sv% and a 2.32 GAA.

Małek has the tools to be a starter in the NHL in the future.

Casey signs a three year, $950k ELC with ZERO performance bonuses. At Michigan in 77 GP, Casey took off, tallying 74 points (15G & 59A) while winning two B1G Titles & making two Frozen Four appearances.

I expect Casey to make John Marino replaceable in 1-2 years.

Casey will probably get the Simon Nemec treatment and play in Utica while I expect Małek to be loaned back to Ilves in Liiga for one more season.

With their 2-1 OT loss in Game 5 of the QMJHL Semi-Finals, Cam Squires and Cape Breton's season has concluded.

In 23-24', Squires tallied 72 points (33G & 39A) in 66 GP, plus another 20 points (9G & 11A) in 14 playoff games.

Expect Squires to get an ELC real soon. #NJDevils

With the Leddy decision, the Devils saw three of their NCAA draft picks transfer to new schools.

Devils 2022 6th round pick Josh Filmon wrapped up his junior career tonight with a goal in Swift Current's loss to Moose Jaw.

In 23-24, Filmon put up 67 points (27G & 40A) in 64 games and in 9 playoff games recorded 9 points (7G & 2A). Filmon will be in Utica next season. 💪🏻🔥

At 6'0, ~190 lbs, Hughes turns 23 in November, seems like a no brainer for NJ to go after this kid with all the scouting they have been doing with Luke Hughes, Seamus Casey & Ethan Edwards playing at AA.

Plus it would be a third 'Hughes' in NJ, that would be a nice aesthetic.

T.J. finished this season 13th in all of college hockey with 403 faceoffs won. With 684 total faceoffs, do the math, and that comes out to a 58.9% win percentage.

The New Jersey Devils already signed UDFA Dylan Wendt. They shouldn't stop there, as their #1 target should be T.J. Hughes from Michigan.

Ethan Edwards (20' 4th Rd) has 35 points in 93 games, Ethan missed the first half of the season, with a +/- +20. #NJDevils

With their loss, Michigan's season is over. Now Seamus Casey & Ethan Edwards are free to sign their ELCs with NJ.
