We are so grateful for the messages, shares, kind donations to the fundraiser. I painted Isabelle's nails yesterday and told her how loved she is by everyone near and far. We are bereft, but lifted by you all celebrating her life with us and holding us in our pain x

Our constant source of laughter. When Alexander died, the silence was unbearable. F was only just talking. In time, he & Isabelle filled our house with giggles again. A new soundtrack, still missing a melody but a different joy. We miss her touch, her sound, how she made us feel.

To the person who just posted on the fundraiser to say that you are teaching your Biology students, many of whom are future medics, about Isabelle and Alexander and PPA2 mutation, you have no idea how much that means to me 💙💙

I was once told that grief should be private. It was really terrible advice for us. F gets a lot of comfort from talking openly about how he's feeling in grief. Please know that bereaved parents think long & hard about what and how and why they put their experiences out there. X

I've got a really difficult meeting today about what happened that night, my darling. Trying to channel this memory of you last year, refusing to get off my clean washing until I had given you a foot massage. You had your priorities all in order. I miss you. Xx

F should have the chance to choose new costumes with you both. We should be excitedly planning which parties to go to, and what Halloween treats to buy. He misses his best friends so much. You both brought him such joy in similar and different ways. This week is so hard. ❤️💙

The day that Isabelle got Alexander's train out to play. I knew they would be connected somehow, even though they never met. He knew she was coming and that she was a girl. Now I hope she's playing with him, too. #grief #childloss

Of course, now we are having to manage the run up without both of our precious babies, I woke up today a bit bewildered. But as she was always so sunny, silly and happy, I want to use the next 26 days until Alexander's anniversary on Boxing Day to celebrate her life.

B is for ball.Isabelle absolutely loved balls-even as a young baby, she would always gravitate towards them. One of my favourite videos is this one where she was kicking the ball around our new garden but stopping to take a bite of her jammy dodger. Priorities! #grief #childloss

And c is also for cows. One day, we took a wrong turn on the way to soft play and passed several fields.She decided to shout "COWS, COWS, I SEE COWS & then "BYE COWS" every time we saw one. I can report there were about 10 million cows for every square metre 🫠 #grief #childloss

D is for "do it myself". She was so fiercely independent. It was one of her earliest sentences 🤣 she would fume if you tried to take over, and make you wait until the task was done to her satisfaction before you could move on. #grief #childloss

E is for eating. She honestly never stopped. Whether it was her "bot" (milk), sweet, savoury, hers, most definitely not hers, if it was there, she would eat it. She was by far the easiest to please food wise. Obviously a big fan of an advent calendar too. ❤️🎄 #GriefAwarenessWeek
