a big part of being a writer is thinking about how cool your book would be if you actually wrote it

if my editing plan is to move into a mouldering gothic mansion so the ghosts can crawl out of the wallpaper and fix my book for me, then so be it.

making bargains in the woods at night is apparently “ill advisable” and “you’ll regret it” and “you need your soul” but what if the offer was a gothic library with floor to ceiling bookshelves hmm? what then.

maybe the goal is to be a full-time writer, but maybe the reality is being a full-time mossy forest goblin

but what if scrivener had a sticker reward chart and whispered soothing things to you while you sobbed at 1am over the alphabet

go ahead and fold your bones into the moss. i think it will fix your anxiety actually.
