Most of our #puffins were wheeling out at sea today, very few venturing back on to land. The time for leaving is here. #Orkney #islandtours #Papay

We had a total #archaeological fest of a tour yesterday. Neolithic settlements, #Neolithic burial cairns (with carvings), iron age shell middens, and the Meadow sweet of St Tredwells chapel. A fantastic private tour seeing the best of our archaeology. #Papay #Orkney #islandtours

The birds see, what the eyes believe. St Tredwell's Chapel, a 12th century early christian settlement, built on an iron age broch. Set on a mound within an island amphitheater. A #pilgrimage for sore eyes. #Orkney #earlychristian #ironage #papawestray

Taken captive by #Vikings! Escaping & ‘preferring to endure the rage of the sea rather than fall into the hands of men passing all monsters in ferocity'. Does the life of St Findan tell us who the 'Papi' of #Papay were? Find out: shorturl.at/ZHiPa Image © of Papay Ranger

We have taken our last bookings for 2024 for the boat trips out to the Holm of #Papay. The trips will start again next May 2025, we look forward to taking folk over once again to see the #Neolithic burial cairns and for a total island marooned experience. #Orkney
