For my 2nd show of the day I was TRON THEATRE for Don't.Make.Tea. There were captions, sign language, and audio descriptions in this dark comedy about disability and benefits. Very powerful performances from all the actors but my favourite was 'Able'.
First theatre trip of the day to Airdrie Town Hall new theatre for me Rumplestiltskin. A title rarely performed. Such fun with a highly talented cast Starbright Ents including the very expressive and energetic Ian Sheepie Smith Jamie Lemetti was a delicious power house of a baddie

An overnight stop in Aberystwyth. I've not been here for 30 years or so, I'd forgotten how breath taking the scenery is in the area. Lovely train trip especially from Dovey Junction. Not so keen on the walk up to Canolfan y Celfyddydau Aberystwyth Arts Centre
Great to see a pier with a theatre Cromer Pier winning #PierOfTheYear - there are only six remaining pier theatres in operation in the UK
Great end to the holiday weekend, dodging the showers. A walk around EWT Gunners Park & Shoebury Old Ranges Birdsong was so beautiful. We kept clear of the nesting swan. Enjoyed watching small birds drinking and bathing in a puddle. Beautiful blossom. Rainbow was the icing on the cake. Grant Maton
Real treat today, Eastbourne pier in the sunshine, fun rail replacement bus, and a great afternoon The Royal Hippodrome Theatre for an Easter panto with the brilliant Michael J Batchelor The whole cast had such energy especially Luke Roberts and baby bear Rachel Cantrill.
Lovely afternoon, stroll round St Katherine's Dock and then matinee Wilton's Music Hall Charles Court Opera produced a brilliant Barber of Seville for someone like me who is unaccustomed to opera. Imaginative setting, first class singing, humour and a brilliant libretto David Eaton
Spring has truly sprung. Lovely walk through Belfairs to meet with Grant Maton of Essex Wildlife Trust for a long overdue catchup and a tasty lunch. Butterflies, blossom, and bees a plenty. Storytelling event 25th May looks interesting.
Colchester Mercury Theatre to see the brilliant Importance of Being Earnest. The last Earnest I saw was the Luke Adamson (he/him) version some years ago. Very different shows but both such great fun. Good to see actors I remember from pantos. Even had time to wander in Castle Park.
Tonight Norwich Theatre for Wizard of Oz The Wizard of Oz Strong performances from an awesome cast including Benjamin Yates TheVivienne Marley Fenton
Aviva Tulley and Nic Greenshields. Loved the set design by Colin Richmond and the powerful lighting by Ben Cracknell
