Key news from Enrique de-Madaria and #WATERFALLtrial in acute pancreatitis. Stopped after interim analysis shows aggressive fluid arm (lactated Ringer's 20-mL/kg bolus over 2h followed by 3 mL/kg/hr) have 🔼necrosis, 🔼ICU admission and 🔼organ failure. Bottom line: Use fluids wisely!
