The Google remedies opinion is riddled with inconsistencies, an incomprehensible surfeit of discretion. As Matt notes, Mehta says AI is well positioned to compete with Google. Yet, just a few pages over: AI has strengthened Google's position in the relevant market for Search.

Survivors at our press conference announced they are privately compiling their own Epstein list. They would be sued into homelessness for naming names, but Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸 and I are willing to name names in the House of Representatives under Constitutional “speech or debate” immunity.

Google is going to continue its illegal search monopoly after a judge failed to offer any meaningful remedies to break up the search giant. “The court does not have discretion to preserve Google’s monopoly," Lee Hepner tells David Dayen.

The panic about trans people will end one day. Society will accept that we're people like anybody else, and we aren't going anywhere. It'll be tempting to forget that this is how these people talked about us when they were emboldened and we were afraid. We must never forget.

The FTC won’t link it in the release, but I put out a dissenting statement on today’s order banning Gateway’s noncompetes. A ban is fine, but not good enough because it doesn’t touch the structural problems in this PE rollup market. ftc.gov/system/files/f…

The problem with the anti-Zohran opposition is Andrew Cuomo. The hope is consolidation around Cuomo, but Cuomo is such a deeply flawed candidate, it might not matter anyway. A normal center-left Democrat might have a shot. Cuomo is scandal-plagued and a lousy campaigner.

Can someone please tell corporate executives they're not protected species and can be sued for being bumbling, greedy assholes? thx

Wow, Trump publicly kissed up to Google CEO Sundar Pichai blamed the antitrust suit against Google on Biden. “Biden was the one who prosecuted that lawsuit,” Trump said. “You know that, right?” wsj.com/politics/trump…

It's cool how the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in 2020 that it's illegal to fire someone because of their sexual orientation or gender identity and they get to pretend that just never happened

It’s quite telling that a really long and involved bureaucratic process to restructure Google’s monopoly was set aside by a judge, and the Abundance people have nothing to say. The big obstacle to fixing stuff is courts and big business. Crickets.
