Palos West fourth grader Olivia “Livie” Scheetz recently made an appearance on WGN’s Spotlight Chicago news program to talk about her game ‘Smack It’ which won the Best Potential award in the Junior Division at this year’s Young Inventor’s Challenge. wgntv.com/video/chicagol…

Registration for the 2025-26 school year begins March 4.

Third and fifth grade students at Palos East learned about weather and climatology during a presentation by Nick Bartholomew from Illinois Storm Chasers. Students learned about the power of tornadoes, how to stay safe during thunderstorms, and in the presence of lightning.

The PFA hosted a western-themed kickoff event for the start of its Reading Roundup Read-a-thon at Palos South last week. The night included a book exchange, crafts, and activities for D118 families. Thank you to all of the PFA volunteers who organized this fun family event.

The Palos South Cardinal Cheer Team is in Peoria today competing in the Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) state championship. Go Cardinals!
