We thank Jason Clare MP
for addressing the letter Australian Institute of Physics Astro. Soc. Aus. and Royal Australian Chemical Institute wrote re ARC board ARC ARC Tracker The clarification received is an improvement but the gunes for board members are still quite restrictive. #ozchem
AP de Silva has been an absolutely remarkable force of nature in #chemistry I saw him first at ESOC in Gothenburg, Sweden, 1999 as a fresh-faced PhD student at my first international conference. At a crucial time, his inspirational talk and work motivated me to stay in academia.
Nick Chilton Prof. Nicholas F Chilton has just (re)-joined the #ozchem community after moving to ANU Research School of Chemistry We here at UNSW Chemical Society are very fortunate to have Nick visiting us and tell us about the fantastic chemistry research he is doing!
We support Australian Institute of Physics position. Diversity on the board of the ARC is important. This includes people that have or had ARC funding. Resulting potential conflict of interest can easily be managed without excluding active researchers with ARC funds. #ozchem ARC Tracker
