The MAiD discussions this week are taking a toll on disabled people. Our view of medically assisted death isn’t as rosy as others.

Disabled & chronically ill patients cost the system a LOT of money. We’re very sick but could take decades to die. A 🧵 on coercion & euthanasia /1

'We see evidence of persistent live virus in humans in various tissue reservoirs, including surrounding nerves, the brain, the GI tract, to the lung.'

FINALLY.

The ppl I know who work from home have a much healthier lifestyle! They gain more sleep without the commute. Their stress levels are lower. Their work life balance is better. More opportunities to do exercise before & after work. Time for families & hobbies. They are living!

With COVID pandemic, Public Health, like , did a really poor job of explaining the science.

In fact, Henry runs on theories a lot.

With drug use policy, needs to explain the science. BC NDP has lost support here

Freakinbox I do believe we are truly in a lull. My hope is forever.

My fear if there is a resurgence we will be very late to recognize it due to our degraded data systems.

When my son was dx with prediabetes last week, the dx came from a locum. Imagine my surprise when she said, 'I think it's from covid, wouldn't be surprised if they admit it in the next couple years, I'm seeing it all over the country.'

My best HC experiences are with locums.

Wonder how soon will impact ? We have: drought, possibly incoming high temps followed by record wildfires, no fruit or grapes, COVID, measles …. Fun times

This healthcare worker exposed to substances is a perfect storm and the BC NDP better get on it:
1. The BC Nurses Union did squat about covid but are sinking their teeth into this issue

2. Almost NOBODY would define drug addicted unhoused as our most vulnerable, /2
