It was another weekend of baking at Padworth, with students looking forward to the upcoming Easter break, baking some yummy Easter nests!

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Rebecca Clyde as Deputy Principal, effective September 2021. Rebecca joins us from Cardiff Sixth Form College where she is Deputy Head - Academic Studies and Outreach. We very much look forward to welcoming Rebecca and her family to Padworth.

This weekend, we enjoyed a ‘twist’ on the ever popular baking activities, with sushi making. The resulting fantastic spread of sushi, was enjoyed by all involved!

We are delighted to have almost all of our Year 13 students back on campus. Yesterday, they took a break from classes, exams and assessments for a photo with their Personal Tutors (part of their residential boarding bubble).

Last week, a number of students participated in our Half Term Programme. Activities included a trip to Bournemouth, ‘rock climbing’, baking and a visit to Windsor Castle. It was great to enjoy some trips off campus, after the prolonged period of COVID-related restrictions!

We are delighted that Paul Inman, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) at Uni of Reading will be the Guest Speaker at our Speech Day later this week. We are very much looking forward to welcoming Paul to Padworth.

On Friday, we welcomed Paul Inman of Uni of Reading to Padworth for our annual Speech Day. It was great to hear Paul share some of the key ‘moments’ of his life and to celebrate the myriad achievements of our students. Congrats to all prize winners!

As part of our ongoing Enrichment Week, students had to plan an expedition from Padworth College to the Roman town of Silchester, where parts of the ancient city walls and amphitheatre are still visible. The round trip of about 20km needed careful planning@and map reading skills!

We are delighted to be co-hosting a webinar with @NCUK and Durham University to introduce the pathways to this exciting new NCUK partner university, one of the UK’s leading universities.

We are delighted with this year’s A Level results, which reflect the culmination of two years of hard work and commitment from students and staff alike. Overall, 78% of grades awarded were A*-B, with 59% of all grades awarded A*-A. Well done to all of our Year 13 students!

We are delighted that Nancy, a member of our residential boarding team, will be taking on a new role from September, overseeing health and nutrition. In this role, Nancy will be championing healthy eating and an active lifestyle amongst the Padworth College community.

At Padworth, we celebrate our international community, with students from up to 30 different nationalities represented. A key event in our academic calendar is International Day, which we look forward to celebrating next week!
