Fact Fluency and Daily Goals: Every morning, we do Brian Poncy Math 2-a-days timed math facts. I recently started a daily goal (a crude imitation of Precision Teaching). Ss count how many problems they got 1st timing then make a goal of 2-4 more problems for the 2nd timing. /1

Michael Chiles 🌍 Would it be more accurate to say it is better taught than hopefully caught — in particular contexts? I say this as the culture at my 1960s grammar school was caught by pupils. No lessons, posters or assemblies on its specific behaviours. Just picked it up, immediately.
